SVCPC Volunteers Join the Vancouver Police Department

Three of our former volunteers have recently joined the ranks of the Vancouver Police Department! Firstly, Congratulations to Mitch Tong who first began at the SVCPC in 2003 as part of a high school work experience program.

For over twelve years, Mitch dedicated many hours of volunteer time towards the SVCPC and community safety. Several years ago, he began mentoring and overseeing other volunteers as our Foot Patrol Coordinator. Although he will be missed around here, we are very proud of his accomplishments. Two other former volunteers, Sunny Puni and Jag Ghangas, have also been selected by the VPD and have begun training at the Police Academy. The photo was taken at their swearing in ceremony on January 22nd, 2016.
