2016 Fundraising Dinner

Thank you for your generous and gracious support!

The South Vancouver Community Crime Prevention Society o/a The South Vancouver Community Policing Center held its 2nd annual fundraising dinner on February 5th of 2016 at Fraser Court Seafood Restaurant to celebrate the Lunar New Year. The proceeds of the event are being directed towards a much needed mobile storage trailer for the office’s patrol bikes and equipment for our bike patrol program.

While the move to our new office space in 2015 provided us with a fresh vantage point of our community, our bike storage space had become no longer available to us. As a result, we have had to store 10 of our bikes at another location and squeeze 8 bikes into a tiny room of our office.

With the decreased space for bike maintenance and storage, our bike patrol hours have dropped significantly, from 974 hours to 665 hours since the move.

By purchasing a new mobile storage trailer, we will once once again be able to take advantage of our full fleet of 18 patrol bikes, bringing them to hard-to-reach locations within the district as well as various local events in your community.

Langara Voice Article

The Langara Voice had published an article about our need for storage for our Bike Patrol Program. Here is a copy of the article which was found in the printed copy of their paper.
